Textured Sculpy

Here’s a cool nature texture project on Write, Mama. Write! that I definitely want to try soon (my list keeps growing!).

They used sculpey to make nature prints and then put them in the oven to harden.

Make sure to click through because she shows a whole bunch of different nature prints they made, including a shell and parsely… The one above is a print of fir needles. I think they’re beautiful.

Now I just have to buy some sculpey and get well.

Thanks for sharing a great idea! When I heard in a recent news report that visitors to National Parks has decreased in recent years, it really saddened me. I posted an article on the new blog Art for Creative Kids that is called, “Nature is in the Eye of the Beholder” on Feb 4th to encourage children to get out in nature. I think it’s a wonderful way to promote creativity and enjoy the great outdoors.
