The Artful Parent Simple Ways to Fill Your Familys Life with Art & Creativity

The Artful Parent book has been out for two weeks now! Thanks to all you wonderful, artful parents and teachers who have bought a copy! It has been on best seller lists and hot new release lists in a couple of different categories on Amazon, which is super exciting. It's also had some amazing reviews, both on Amazon as well as on sites participating in the blog tour. I'm feeling very lucky and thankful.

I also have some bookstore and other events coming up and wanted to share that info with you:

The Artful Parent Book Events

  • Saturday, April 27 at 11am :: Flyleaf Books in Chapel Hill, NC (A hands-on family art activity and book signing)
  • Saturday, May 4 at 7:25am :: WLOS News 13 / ABC Network  in Western NC (Live interview and kids' art activity demonstration)

And that TV appearance? Well, let's just say it'll be my very first and I hope I don't make a fool of myself. Cross your fingers for me.

Wow! Congratulations, Jean. Your book events sound like fun, but alas, I live in Ky. Good luck with your TV interview. Will it be broadcast locally or nationally? You are an inspiration to us all. Thanks.

I just ordered The Artful Parent this morning, along with “Drawing with Children” and a US and a World Map, for summer learning. See, your book is an essential! I love the blog and I’m sure I’ll love the book for my twin preschoolers.

I pre-ordered your book from Amazon and love it. Can’t wait to dig into a bunch of the projects this summer. Congrats! And thanks for sharing your ideas with us!!

Oh, Jean – I preordered your book and it arrived last week and I am just in love. I haven’t read much yet, because I started out just flipping through the pages and looking at all the lovely photos and perusing the projects before I sat down and started at page 1. It is such a wonderful book; I mentioned it on my blog yesterday & a bunch of people told me they’d heard great things about it & couldn’t wait to read it.
I’m so glad for you, having this lovely work out there in the world; and I’m so glad for us that you’re so willing to share your creativity! xo
