Let’s Talk Chalk :: Chalkboard Labels for Organization (+ a Giveaway!)

Chalkboard Labels by Let's Talk Chalk 10

Let's Talk Chalk is a mother-daughter Etsy shop selling vinyl chalkboard labels in all sorts of shapes, from the traditional to the playful. They are one of my lovely blog sponsors and recently sent me an assortment of their labels to try out and review. Thank goodness, too, because I needed some labelling action in the art studio.

MY LATEST VIDEOS

Here's what they sent: an assortment of chalkboard labels, a chalk ink marker, a larger chalkboard wall decal, and look! A pair of chalkboard earrings!

At least that's what I thought they were…

I thought, "Wow, chalkboard earrings. What an interesting idea!" and, "I bet those would make a great conversation starter at a party!" So I used their handy dandy write on/wipe off chalkbaord marker and wrote "Hi!" on one earring and "My name is Jean" on the other and tried them on.

What do you think? Pretty neat, huh?

Leave it to them to make chalkboard jewelry.

And then as I was writing this post, I took another look at their shop to link to the unique earrings, and guess what I found out? They're not earrings! They are a set of chalkboard wine glass charms! (Let's Talk Chalk sells a lot of wedding and event chalk labels.)

Okay, feeling a little silly, I took the wine charms off my ears (but you know, they really did make pretty cool earrings!) and moved on to the studio with the rest of the labels…

I added chalkboard labels to all the Ikea bins that hold our paints.

And the fun little bird, owl, and Mickey Mouse chalkboard labels went onto to our buckets of art supplies along the bottom shelf.

A few different chalkboard labels went on the jars of sequins and beads.

And there we go. A nicely organized studio (and a big thanks to my friend Darlene for helping to clean and organize it!). The green chest is full of who-knows-what though. I think it's time to order some fun labels so we can tell exactly what's in each drawer. Maybe some more little birds (my favorite!) or possible these small labels.

But wait! One last thing… We're heading to the kitchen now…

Chalkboard Labels by Let's Talk Chalk 08

I used the large chalkboard wall decal on the inside of a cupboard door as a place to write down grocery list items as we think of them or run out. That pucker on the side is because there's some hardware there. I could have moved the decal (they all are easily repositionable), but decided this was the most convenient place for it.

Do you need some chalkboard labels to help you get organized?

Some chalkboard earrings, err, wine charms for your next party? Or wall decals for lists and notes? Let's Talk Chalk is currently having a "buy 2 get 1 free" sale on everything in their shop (just add a note when checking out telling them what you'd like for your freebie). Plus, they will send a 15% off coupon to anyone who likes them on Facebook. (They will watch their likes and send you the coupon via Facebook.)

Let's Talk Chalk is a small business owned and run by Pattie, Lisa, and Jamie
—a mom and her daughters. Here's what they say about themselves: "We create chalkboard designs for your wedding or event, and vinyl chalkboard labels for your home storage and organization needs. Our eco-friendly chalkboard labels that last up to 5 years and, unlike other labels, they don’t leave a residue when they are removed from a surface."

To connect with Let's Talk Chalk, you can add their Etsy shop to your favorites, like them on Facebook, e-mail them at Pattie @ LetsTalkChalk.com (they accept custom orders, btw), follow them on Twitter, or check out their Pinterest boards (and also their Chalkboard Wedding boards).

Chalk board labels look so cool – love the reversal of white on black – makes you take notice. Designs are cute too, better than the boxy look all the time. Creative labels for a creative woman! Thanks for giving me a chance towin a set.

Wonderful idea. I have the same design principles in my office space. I got the labels thru Essmak and everybody loves it.
