Who steers the magazine
Editors-in-Chief Graeme Brown and Jeanette Brown oversee editorial direction. They are a husband-and-wife team, grandparents, and the parents of writer Lachlan Brown. Graeme is a founder of The Expert Editor; Jeanette writes across Brown Brothers Media and at jeanettebrown.net. Meet the full team on our Masthead.
Our editorial standards
- Accuracy. Factual claims are sourced and linked where appropriate. When we cite ages, materials, safety guidance, or research findings, we point to the underlying source.
- Human review. Every published piece is editorially directed and reviewed before publication. AI tools may support drafting, research, and editing — they do not replace human judgment.
- House byline vs named writers. Articles under The Artful Parent Editorial Team byline represent collective editorial work. Articles with a named writer reflect substantial individual authorship, edited to the same standards.
