Learn how to make clay birds, pinch pot nests, and eggs for kids. Then, decorate your clay creations with beads and feathers.
Air dry clay is one of our favorite art materials and we’ve got so many fun ways to use it for art. But these clay birds and pinch pot nests might be the cutest!
Mold the clay into the shape of a little bird, then press in beads and feathers to decorate it. To give your bird a nest, use the pinch pot method to shape a little nest and decorate it as well. You can even roll a few little eggs to place inside the nest!
This fun and easy activity is perfect for spring, a nature study, or just a relaxing afternoon indoors. Kids will love shaping the birds and building cozy nests to tuck them into.
