Learn how to create vibrant rainbow art collages using craft supplies. A fun way to explore colors and textures!
It’s beginning to feel a little like spring here in Maine and so we are starting to pull out the springtime crafts. With St. Patrick’s Day right around the corner, we’re focusing on all things rainbows! They bring such joy and brightness, especially this time of year.
We made these sweet rainbow art collages, inspired by our contributor Rachel. I’m not sure which part was more fun: gathering and sorting all the craft supplies into colors or making the collages!
You can use whatever you have on hand: pom poms, pipe cleaners, feathers, buttons, beads, etc. Your kids will love arranging all the little bits and bobs by color and watching as their rainbows come to life!

INSTRUCTIONS
- Cut out rainbows
You can use cardboard from the recycle bin and cut out rainbow shapes.
- Gather craft materials
We had lots of fun with this step! Go through your craft supplies and sort things out by color. We put each color in its own bowl to keep things separate.
- Make your rainbows!

Then add your orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple!
Let your rainbow dry completely and display!
