We do our favorite art activities over and over but we also regularly try new art activities for kids.
So while we might make contact paper suncatchers every season, do double doodle drawings anytime we think about it, and play art games whenever we’re at a restaurant or in a waiting room, there are always so many other art activities for kids that we haven’t tried.
I often come across a new-to-us art activity in a book or on a blog or think of a new way to use or combine art materials and techniques.
And sometimes I assemble the materials for the new art activity and actually take the effort to make it happen.
Here are some of these new and new-to-us art activities for kids from the past year that have become favorites.
Perhaps some of them will become favorites with your family as well…

It’s so fin because I’ve followed for the whole year and seen each of these as they came up, but having them all collected here and knowing they’ve become favorites is a huge help. Saving this one for sure!
Yay!
These are such wonderful ideas! While I am not yet a parent, I am a child and family therapist who incorporates a lot of art with the children I see. Thanks for this great resource!
