A Personalized Childrens Growth Chart

A Personalized Childrens Growth Chart by I See Me

This post contains affiliate links.Personalized products are meaningful for anyone, but I think they are extra special for a child who is just learning the power of letters and words.

GIVEAWAY note: You’ll have a chance to win a personalized childrens growth chart of your choice at the end of this post…

At age 4 1/2 there is one word that Daphne can read and write.

Her name.

So anything with those 6 letters is extra special for more than just the fact that it means her.

She writes her name on every piece of art she makes. And she gets excited if she gets a letter through the mail with her name on it.

There is so much power in a name.

Daphne received a package in the mail recently. And when she opened the box, her name was right there!

Personalized Childrens Growth Chart

…peeking out of a patterned yellow box by I See Me! personalized books and gifts.

Personalized Childrens Growth Chart

She pulled out the rolled up canvas, marveled at the tall giraffe, and again, at her name. And then wondered what the heck it was.

(A personalized growth chart, sent to us by I See Me! personalized books and gifts, one of my blog sponsors.)

Personalized Childrens Growth Chart

Now Daphne is always telling us that she can do _______ (replace the blank with whatever it is she wants to do right then) now that she is 4 and a half (that second part is very important) and a big girl. So a special chart for keeping track of how big she is growing makes complete sense to her.

She helped me gather the tools we would need to hang the chart…

Hammer, nails, measuring tape, cup hook screws, pencil.

Personalized Childrens Growth Chart

First Daphne helped me measure 24 inches off the ground (to where the bottom of the growth chart needed to hang).

Personalized Childrens Growth Chart

Then she helped me hold her new growth chart up on the wall while I marked the hanging holes with a pencil.

Personalized Childrens Growth Chart

I started the screw holes with a little nail, then she helped screw in the cup hook screws.

Personalized Childrens Growth Chart

And finally, Daphne sidled up to her new growth chart so see just how tall she was.

Personalized Childrens Growth Chart

Almost 38 inches tall!

I wanted to add a note about the quality of this growth chart. It’s not paper, but rather a very sturdy canvas with a high quality printing of the image and the child’s name. It has grommet-lined holes at the top and bottom for hanging the growth chart on the wall.

My kids only know about personalized products because of the ONE we have in our house–a childhood book of mine with a story about me in it. They love to read it, so I’d give that question a “yes” :)

I love personalization. I still remember the excitement when my grandparents gave me a set of pencils with my uncommon name on them. I used them for years! Now, having given my daughter an unusual name, I’m going to need to make sure I do the same for her.

What I love about these charts is not only the name, but that they can come with you when you move. :) Surely, I am not the only one who has moved three times since my oldest was born! Marking milestones on the doorway just doesn’t work when you are on the go.

I think all kids love personalized products! I know I did when I was little. There’s something about seeing your name on something that gives you a sense of ownership and pride! I made my older son a personalized growth chart when he was born (used a polar wood board and painted/decorated it) and always meant to do one for my younger son, but still haven’t gotten around to it. I know he would LOVE one of these beautiful ones from I See Me!

My daughter turns 5 in May & writes her name as “Halley Love” because I had her write out all her valentine’s this year & she wrote “Love, Halley” on the back. So we’re gotten that all a little jumbled every since…. lol! But, generally, yes she likes personalized things or she makes a point to put her name on them and handle that task herself. :) I do wish I’d charted her height since she was toddler-aged… I worry sometimes if I start now it’s “too late”. Silly?? I dunno.
