5 Valentine craft ideas and gifts to make from your kids’ process art projects, including cards, garlands, and more.

If your kids are anything like ours, they love process art activities. And they produce endless amounts of artwork from those activities, too.

What to do with all of that artwork? You can display it or reuse it.

You can also turn that artwork, such as shaving cream marbling, into the base for a seasonal or holiday craft, gift, or decoration. And if it happens to be February, you can turn it into valentines!

1. Classroom Valentines

This is a no brainer! Take all that process artwork, cut it into hearts and let your kids use it as valentines for their friends and classmates. We do this every year and attach a small treat or candy to go with the hearts.

2. Valentine’s Day Cards

For the special people in your kids’ lives (grandparents, cousins, neighbors) you can make more formal cards. Paste your kids’ heart art onto blank cards or onto cardstock to make easy Valentine’s Day cards.

3. Paper Heart Garlands

Garlands, buntings, and paper chains are easy to make and a good way to repurpose any process art into seasonal and holiday decorations. We love to cut strips of painted paper and use it to make heart paper chains!

4. A Kid-Made Art Book
